LATEST DROP :: HIPPY AT HEART FALL ’17

Hippy at Heart is known for making a statement with its pieces, but their new camo long sleeve tee, takes the brand’s edginess up a notch with the words “AMERICA EATS ITS BABIES” printed on the back. Still, the brand maintains a fresh and respectable image, even when pushing boundaries, and stepping on some toes. Certainly, this sort of satirical wit is something other brands could afford to learn. What helps this season to pop even more are the incredible product images shot by Brennan Peirson.

Besides the long sleeves, this season also includes a 5-panel, with Hippy at Hearts’s “Lovers and Sinners” slogan embroidered on the front, available in army green and burnt orange, and my favorite :: men’s and women’s branded Champion practice jerseys.Β Let me know what your favorite pieces are in the comments below!

LATEST DROP :: SUPREME OCT 12, 2017

This week’s Supreme drop is all about the brands latest collab with Scarface. You can see iconic scenes from the film printed on tees, hoodies, sweaters and skateboard decks; there’s even a Scarface lamp. Alongside these are a good handful of clean, colorful staples to fill in the gaps in the collection, and your wardrobe. My personal favorites are the blue checkered 5-panel, the multicolor plaid jacket, and “The World is Yours” tee, but honestly, this whole drop is enviable. Let me know what your favorite pieces are in the comments below.

OLLI’S INSIDER INTERVIEW :: BRITTANY DANIEL

A few weeks ago I was blessed with the chance to interview Brittany Daniel, or as you may know her from her Instagram @brittanythehost. Her smile could light up a room, and her style was chic and relevant without being boujee. She spoke about how the styles were different in New York and Austin, and how she’s had to evolve her personal style since moving to Texas. After our interview she stayed and talked with Rod and I about strategies to grow all of our YouTube channels, and even delved into some philosophy towards the end of our talk. An all around great person, and fellow fashion and lifestyle blogger, Brittany Daniel is an insider you need to know if you’re in Austin, Texas. Go over to her channel and check out her fashion videos, and maybe get a few tips on adulating while you’re at it.

OLLI’S TRENDSETTER INTERVIEW :: ADAM22

If you’ve been following rap recently, then you’ve probably heard of No Jumper, Adam22’s podcast series, where he interview’s the newest rappers, designers, and trendsetters. Growing up, Adam wore mostly BMX and hardcore shirts, but now that he’s doing No Jumper, he usually sticks to wearing his own shirts, or one’s that his fans send in. Adam doesn’t rely on his style to make him a trendsetter. Instead, his charisma and confidence allow him to set trends no matter what he wears. Go check out some of Adam22’s No Jumper interviews here.

HOW TO DRESS LIKE :: BLOODY OSIRIS

Much like Luka Sabbat, Bloody Osiris is part of the growing number of trendsetters who have influenced Kanye West and risen to fame with his endorsement. The already internet famous Bloody Osiris appeared on Kanye’s moodboard in 2016, and would go on to star in Yeezy season three. With his Β eye for styling, Bloody has also collaborated with the likes of VLONE and OFF-WHITE, styling the latter’s SS18 show in Paris.

Let’s take a look at what makes Bloody’s style so attractive, and see how you can channel his futuristic-throwback look the next time you’re out shopping.

To start from the top, you’ll rarely catch Bloody Osiris without something on his head, atop his braids. His preference seems to be du-rags, bandanas, or athletic headbands, but he’s also been know to rock beanies and snapbacks on occasion as well.

Probably the most noticeable feature in any of his looks is his eyewear. Bloody has an insane collection of shades that look like they’re right out of the 90’s, complete with vibrantly colored lenses and ultra sporty silhouettes. Shop here to get some of your own.

As for tops, baggy is better. Whether it’s a basketball jersey, a t-shirt, or a puffer jacket, Bloody Osiris rocks them all with a little extra room inside. The same goes for his pants. As he said himself Β “No more skinny jeans”.

Of course, he also doesn’t usually rock wide-leg trousers either, generally preferring track pants, distressed jeans, or shorts. No matter what kind of pants he has on, Bloody almost always uses them as statement pieces. Sometimes going so far as having the pant legs sewn together at the bottom.

Even if his pants are fancier than most,Β like any true sneakerhead,Β Bloody Osiris gets dressed from the shoes up. He’s often wearing Jordan and Nike, but if you’re lucky, you might spot him in some Rick Owens x Adidas boots that look like something out of an anime. His favorite Jordans are theΒ AJXV‘s, and he prefers to wear the less popular Jordan models including the AJXIV and AJXVI.Β

So there you have it. Everything you need to know to be able to step out like Bloody Osiris. Now just work on growing your social media, and maybe you too will be on Kanye’s moodboard.

OLLI’S INSIDER INTERVIEW :: ROCKMADETHAT

While I was in New York, I had the pleasure of interviewing model and designer ROCKMADETHAT. He designs and wears these incredible helmets you can see him with in this interview. These babies aren’t any ordinary box either, as I’m sure you can see. Each helmet includes bluetooth speakers, fans to keep you cool, LED lights on the front, and a one-way mirror for the face plate. When I was talking to him before the interview, he was telling me how he really enjoyed how ambiguous his helmet, gloves, and tracksuit made him; no one knows what color he is, or what hair he has, instead, when they look at him, they’re forced to confront their own reflection in his helmet. What a cool concept! To see all the crazy different helmets ROCKMADETHAT designs, as well as his modeling shoots, go follow him on Instagram.Β If you’re interested in getting one for yourself, go visit his website.

OLLI’S TRENDSETTER INTERVIEW :: BOOST NANA

On my way to New York, I stopped into Allentown, Pennsylvania to visit Boost Nana. While I was there she talked to me about how she became interested in the Adidas Boost technology, and took me around the local mall to cop a fresh pair of kicks and introduce me to her Boost family. When we got around to shooting the interview, Steve from Villa was cool enough to let us shoot in the store. To keep up with Boost Nana while she does her thang, make sure to follow her on Instagram.

LATEST DROP :: HIPPY AT HEART SUMMER ’17

What does summer remind you of? If you grew up in northern Pennsylvania, then you probably think of something along the lines of bonfires, beer, and dips in the crick (also known as a creek). Hippy at Heart takes that same summertime energy and infuses it into their latest line of streetwear essentials, to give the rest of the world a taste of what summer in PA feels like.

What really makes Hippy at Heart special though, is the attention to detail in their pieces. My favorite piece from this collection is their “Pop Beer Ice” scoop tee. On the back, the phrase “Pop Beer Ice” immediately reminds me of the big white coolers that serve as watering holes at almost every bonfire, while the front features a frozen-over stylization of the Hippy at Heart logo. But what sets this shirt apart most to me, is the stylish scoop cut at the bottom hem; it gives the piece a nice elongated silhouette when worn.

Besides the scoop tee, this season of Hippy at Heart also features a denim dad hat, a trippy pop-art tank top, and the same trippy pop-art design on a women’s t-shirt. For more information about Hippy at Heart, and to order your favorite piece from their summer collection, go visit their website. OLLI’S TRENDSETTER INTERVIEW :: TED PARK

This interview was extra lit! While I was in New York, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Ted Park, and asking him a few questions about his personal style. He loves to rock bright colors, especially in analogous schemes, and represents for both big brand names and upcoming designers. Overall, he tries to reflect his happy-go-lucky personality through his fashion choices, which makes sense given his propensity for wearing yellow. Make sure to check out Ted Park’s music video that went viral on Twitter andΒ listen to more of his music on Soundcloud.
